Dr. Sherry Sutherlin-Woodhouse, Vice Chancellor

Dr. Sherry Sutherlin Woodhouse is an Ordained Minister of the Gospel and Associate Pastor at Lebanon Baptist Church in Saluda, VA. She is an Army Veteran with a Ph.D. in Ministry, a Chaplaincy Certification, and has completed Clinical Pastoral Training. She is the recipient of a Presidential Award from President Barack Obama. Her aspirations are to love, serve, empower, reach, and teach her brothers and sisters in Christ in accordance with the great commission of Matthew 28:18-20. Her hobbies are spending time with her family, music, and cooking.

Valerie Burrell, Ph. D. – Executive Administrator

Valerie is an ordained minister, apostolic leader, and founder of Empowerment Place Ministries. She completed her MS in Human Behavior, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling. Valerie is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor. She has completed the CTP(Certified Trauma Professional) Certification. Valerie is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Christian Counseling Association. Valerie enjoys serving as an Empowerment Coach, Temperament Counselor, Marriage/Relationship Counselor, and mentor to many. Valerie is also a published author and international speaker.

As she continues her journey of empowerment in West Virginia,  lives are being impacted through her kingdom teachings and counseling.  Valerie is the wife of Pastor Benny Burrell of Empowerment Place Ministries. They are parents to six adult children and 10 grandchildren.

Linda L. Johnson, Ph.D. – Administrative Assistant to Chancellor

Dr. Linda Johnson is an Ordained Minister of the Gospel and is Associate Minister at Lebanon Baptist Church in Salida, VA. Linda has completed her MS in Criminal Justice, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Art in Christian Education, a Ph. D. in Christian Counseling, and Clinical Pastoral Education. She is a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Her aspirations are to serve, empower, teach, and counsel others inside and outside the church’s walls by the WORD of God. The mandate of Matthew 28:18-20 guides her. Linda is happily married to a supportive husband, Curtis Johnson Jr.
